On Saturday, June 15, the Antioquia Police implemented a blockade plan to locate two individuals who tried to assault the Atlético Nacional soccer player, Edwin Cardona, in the municipality of San Jerónimo. The commander of the Antioquia Police, Colonel Carlos Andrés Martínez Romero, explained that “There is a vehicle and three people who are being verified to determine if they have some degree of participation or if their presence was circumstantial.” He also expressed his solidarity with Cardona and his family, and assured that the Public Force, in collaboration with the Attorney General’s Office, is committed to capturing those responsible.
