Cecilia Flores, leader of the Madres Buscadoras collective, was found alive this Monday in her home in Querétaro, where she was found with a “delicate medical team,” reported the National Commission for the Search for Missing Persons in Mexico.

“She is being treated by Red Cross personnel and will be transferred to a hospital to stabilize her symptoms,” the organization added on its X social network account.

The commission indicated that Flores was found around 7:30 p.m. and that personnel from the Ministry of the Interior entered her house.

Earlier this Monday, activists and social organizations had reported the disappearance of Cecilia Flores, one of the most recognized leaders of the group of mothers searching for the missing.

“We ask the authorities to do what is necessary to locate Ceci Flores. You know where her refuge is, so that a door does not prevent you from entering,” activists wrote through Flores’ social networks.
