The crew of the Starliner are trapped in outer space.

Although it seems that man conquered all fields of technology, NASA shows that this was not as we believed. The fact is that each launch into space has hundreds of tests and, despite the six failed attempts by the Starliner, the organization ended up sending the rocket into space that now cannot return.

NASA researchers discovered a planet similar to Earth and potentially habitable

The astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore They took off on June 5 from Cape Canaveral, Florida, and were scheduled to return a week later. But due to a series of failures on the Starliner, its return is in danger. That is why NASA together with Boeing decided to suspend the return journey.

What problem does NASA’s Starliner have?

Steve Stich, manager of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, gave statements to report what happened. The head of the space organization said there is no reason to believe that NASA will not be able to bring Williams and Wilmore back, but that they hope to work “with the rest of the data” available.

United Launch Alliance’s Atlas V rocket is part of the US space agency’s commercial program. The ship headed to the International Space Station, where the astronauts spent the days doing live broadcasts of the rocket’s adaptations to the new conditions.

But at the time they got ready to return, helium leaks were detected in the ship. Additionally, some of the thrusters shut down or stopped working. From Earth, the agency’s technical teams decided to suspend the astronauts’ stay on the Space Station, at least until after June 25.

For now, the technicians accompanying the mission reported that, if necessary, the Starliner can stay in space for up to 45 days. If everything turns out as expected, Williams and Wilmore would arrive in New Mexico on Wednesday the 26th in the early hours of the morning.
