Former United States President Donald Trump confirmed this Saturday that he has already decided who will be his vice presidential candidate for the presidential elections next November, although “no one knows” his choice yet.
In statements to the American network NBC News, the conservative leader has assured that he has the name of his vice president “in mind”, although he has not yet communicated it to the candidates competing for the position.
Trump has also said that “it is most likely” that this person will be present at next Thursday’s debate in Atlanta against the current president and candidate for reelection for the Democratic Party, Joe Biden.
According to the aforementioned television channel, the Republican leader would be deciding between North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, Ohio Senator JD Vance and Florida Senator Marco Rubio, as possible main contenders for the position.
The Republican candidate is expected to announce the choice of his potential vice president during the Republican National Convention, which begins July 15 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
For their part, the Democrats will officially choose their candidate in Chicago, during the month of August, although almost certainly, the current president Joe Biden will compete alongside the current number two in the US Executive, Kamala Harris, given that, like that Donald Trump has obtained the number of delegates necessary to be designated a candidate due to his political formation.
