The People’s Bank experiment, This Tuesday, June 25, and Monday, June 24, connectivity problems affected transactions with debit cards and ATMs. At 2:40 pm the entity’s Communication Office confirmed that services were already restored.
The financial institution preliminarily attributed this problem to the fact that changes are being made to the card servers. Initially, they reported the problem through a statement on their social networks.
The Bank also confirmed to The nation the incident this Tuesday and another that they experienced on the afternoon of Monday, June 24. Although they are separate problems, its Communication Office indicated that, preliminarily, their origin would be the same, related to changes in the card servers.
According to Banco Popular, yesterday’s incident began at 4:15 pm and was resolved at 6:54 pm. Likewise, the channels that were affected were the ATM service and debit card service. This Tuesday was reported around 12 noon and lasted until 2:40 p.m.

In the network post, some bank users commented that, when they tried to make a payment at a store, their money was debited, but the dataphone showed the message that said transaction could not be carried out.
“Our team is already working to resolve the situation as soon as possible and it is expected that the automatic refund (of the money) will be made within 48 business hours,” Banco Popular responded to some of the clients who reported the impact.
The financial institution emphasized that the bank’s other service channels are operating normally. The Bank indicated that it would inform on its social networks as soon as the channels that experienced problems were stabilized.
