It is of little use that ‘The Dead Detectives’ is one of the best Netflix series in 2024 if almost no one watches it

In fact, ‘The Dead Detectives’ has been eclipsed by ‘The Asunta Case’, since the Spanish series has started with 29.4 million hours watched for an estimated total of 5.4 million views. To such an extent it has been the hit of the ‘Sandman’ spin-off that was barely the fourth most watched series on Netflix during the week of April 22 to 28.
Ahead of us we also have the great phenomenon that ‘My stuffed reindeer’ has become (87.4 million hours watched and 22 million views) and ‘The Queen of Tears’ (85.6 million hours and an estimated 4.1 million views), Korean miniseries that It has been in the Top of the most viewed non-English speaking series on Netflix for eight weeks in a row.
Taking all this into account and that ‘The Dead Detectives’ doesn’t look like a cheap series either, It will be strange that Netflix does not announce its cancellation in the next few days. Almost unanimous support from critics has been of very little use to this case, as it has 92% positive ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.
