Beba spoke about her argument with Andrea Serna after her departure from El Desafío

The former El Desafío participant spoke out about her controversial expulsion and the way she argued with Andrea Serna before her departure.

On April 26, one of the most controversial departures from El Desafío XX was presented. That of the participant Valerie de la Cruz, better known as Beba. The Barranquilla native and former member of the Alpha team was caught breaking several of the reality show’s rules, which gave way to a forceful decision by the reality show. The participant not only left the camp where her team was in Playa Baja, but she crossed the limits of the territory, took off her vest and came home to lie down on a sofa and cover herself with a blanket.

Beba was summoned along with her teammates and the other teams where they showed her violations of the regulations and were also informed that the sanction for her behavior was expulsion. At that moment, Andrea Serna wanted to hear the opinions about Beba’s behavior, both from her teammates and from the other teams.

The participant from Barranquilla was accused of having little empathy, mainly with her colleagues, generating rejection and indignation towards her behavior. However, she also had to give her respective explanations and it was then that she asked Andrea Serna to do so.

Beba argued that she had had tendonitis for days as a result of the effort she made in one of the tests. However, the Desafío medical staff treated her and determined that she could continue in the competition. This led to a discussion with the Valle del Cauca presenter, who defended the work of the reality doctors and assured that in 20 years of the program, they have provided care to the challengers.

Beba talks about her argument with Andrea Serna

After his departure from ‘Desafío XX’, De la Cruz answered some questions from the audience and on the Pulzo portal he referred again to his discussion with Andrea Serna, prior to his departure from the reality show.

“There comes a point where I: hey, come here, beautiful Andreita, let me talk. People say like: she was disrespectful or yeah, I was rude. I didn’t get involved with Andrea, I was trying to claim my space to express myself because at some point I thought they weren’t going to give it to me. So obviously at that moment it was like she asks everyone to talk… I felt a lot of things on top of me, I was upset, but I didn’t feel like she was rude or disrespectful,” commented the former challenger.
