After the expectation generated by the return of this Colombian production, Ugly Betty20 years later, Prime Video revealed what day this year the return of one of the favorite characters will take place of the Colombian, Latin American and international audience.
“The new dramatic comedy, Ugly Betty, the story continues, based on the acclaimed soap opera I am Betty the Ugly one, will feature the star couple of the original series: Ana María Orozco and Jorge Enrique Abello. And its beloved original cast is also back: Julian ArangoNatalia Ramírez, Lorna Cepeda, Luces Velásquez, Marcela Posada, Mario Duarte, Julio César Herrera, Ricardo Vélez, Alberto León Jaramillo and Estefanía Gómez.
But there will also be new characters played by Rodrigo Candamil, Juanita Molina, Zharick León and Sebastián Osorio.
The premiere will take place on July 19 and will be available in Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.
This new story is a production of Estudio RCN for Prime Video and tells the story of the iconic Beatriz Pinzón Solano, Ugly Betty, 20 years later after the original program has ended. “While an empowered Betty works hard to rebuild her bond with her teenage daughter, her relationship with Armando is rapidly deteriorating, making her question whether she made the right decision 20 years ago,” says the synopsis.
They confirm from Prime Video that the 335 episodes of the original series I am Betty the Ugly one are available on their platform in Latin America.
