The long-awaited first chapter of the acclaimed series HBO’s “House of the Dragon” finally premiered this Sunday, June 16 Worldwide.

The first thing that caught the attention of viewers was its introduction, which although musically follows the famous Ramin Djawadi composition, visually leave aside the blood and the big model of season one to now present a medieval tapestry that is built as the song progresses.

A true work of art for fans and that continues with the trail of blood, but much more subtle since now it is gradually staining and it is also known that as the season progresses this embroidery will evolve to include new iconic moments that happen.

This series, which takes place 200 years before the events of game of Thrones, focuses on the history of House Targaryen, one of the most iconic and powerful families in Westeros. With palace intrigues, epic battles and majestic dragons, the series continues to explore the complex web of ambitions, betrayals and alliances that define the world created by George RR Martin.

Fans can expect an even more intense narrative and much deeper characters in this new season. With a stellar cast and high-quality production, House of the Dragon continues to raise the bar for epic fantasy series on modern television. In addition to the fantastic plot, the special effects, locations and editing contribute to a neat and captivating product.

Spoiler Alert! In the first episode of the second season of The House of the Dragon, The plot picks up right where the first left off: with Rhaenyra Targaryen (played by Emma D’Arcy) devastated by the death of her son Lucerys Velaryon (Elliot Grihault), who was killed by Aemond’s dragon (played by Ewan Mitchell). Filled with pain and a desire for revenge, Rhaenyra finds the remains of the dragon on the seashore and decides that she loves Aemond at all costs: “A son for another son”, just as the chapter in the book is called. Fire and Bloodby George RR Martin and on which this story is based.

Meanwhile, in the Red Keep of King’s Landing, tension grows between Rhaenyra and Aegon II (Tom Glynn-Carney), creating an increasingly charged atmosphere. Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) becomes involved in a romance with Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel), the commander of the Kingsguard, while King Aegon II becomes increasingly arrogant and authoritarian.

The episode takes a dark turn when Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), Rhaenyra’s husband (and also her uncle), decides to take justice into his own hands and seeks to brutally avenge Lucerys’ death. Hire two assassins to eliminate Aemond.

But the assassins find the usurper king’s firstborn, Jaehaerys Targaryen, the young son of Aegon II and Helaena Targaryen (Phia Saban). The men manage to infiltrate the castle, kidnap Helaena and force her to point out which of the twins is the boy before killing him.

Helaena runs to Alicent’s room, interrupting her intimate encounter with Ser Criston, and sparks panic in the castle by confessing what happened. That’s where the first episode ends and the previews show how The death of his son ignites the fury of Aegon II, who decides to take revenge on his sister and her family, officially declaring war.

This episode marks a crucial turning point in the series, preparing the ground for the imminent battle between the brothers and making it clear that in The Dragó Housen, no one is safe and anything can happen. The fight for the throne has begun, and the violence and chaos will only intensify.

The eight chapters that the series will have will premiere every Sunday, the end will be next August 4.
