The contest will bring together representatives of that expression in Cuba and 21 invited artists from Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Italy, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Spain and Poland in the Tito Junco room of the Bertolt Brecht Cultural Center.

The inauguration will be carried out by the Teatro del Cuerpo Fusión Company, led by teacher Maritza Acosta, artistic and general director of the event.

Later, Acosta will offer a discussion on the influence of the work of the master TomaszewsKi in Cuba, while Mateuz Kowalski, from Poland, will delve into the life of the considered “father” of the Polish Poster School.

Then, the show Entre las flores y el asfalto is planned, by Carlos Rivero and Teatro Físico El Telón de Cali (Colombia); and Loca de amor, by Nuria Schneller (Argentina).

In a recent meeting with the press, Acosta highlighted the participation of young graduates from the Teaching Unit of the company he directs, and from the Mimo Clan group, under the guidance of Omar Amador.

Called by that authentic expression, the creators will merge mastery in each staging and will exchange experiences about that common universe in workshops and conferences.

In addition to the traditional parade through several avenues of this capital, there will be a presentation of books, vernacular prints, a tasting of dishes with themes linked to the event and a performance by the Cuban plastic artist Alexis Gutiérrez.

The 10th International Pantomime Meeting is organized by the Teatro del Cuerpo Fusión Company and seeks to create a positive impact on society through the art of gestures.
