A jealous ex-boyfriend shot dead his ex-partner’s fiancé and then shot himself in the head in front of her, who was left visibly horrified outside a hotel in Poland. Mikołaj Bachosz, the perpetrator, killed Kordian Domagała, who had just become engaged to Julia Harmacińska, Bachosz’s ex-girlfriend, two weeks ago.

Disturbing footage taken outside a city center hotel in the picturesque tourist district of Poznan, Poland, shows Domagała sprawled on the ground as his distraught 20-year-old fiancée crouches over him.

The young woman was visibly distraught and began to scream for help when Bachosz fired another shot at her fiancé who was lying on the ground, already apparently dead. Bachosz then shot himself in the head. Read here: Atrocious! Woman wanted to hire a hitman to kill her 3-year-old son

Video shows armed police officers running to the scene after being called out by horrified staff and customers at the restaurant outside the city’s NH Hotel.

A witness said: “When the shooting started, people just ran away in terror. He shot the man and that’s when panic broke out. Then he shot himself in the head. Police spokesman Andrzej Borowiak said the two men, aged 30 and 31, were killed in the incident that took place on Sunday, July 16, in broad daylight.

The victim was an artist and blogger

Friends of the gunned down man reported on social media that he was an artist and blogger. Kamil Grzebyta, a councilor from Murowana Goślina, a town in Poznań county, said the man had died in front of his fiancée’s eyes.

“He was an artist, a blogger, always smiling and friendly. We worked together, we made movies, I even had the pleasure of showing him Murowana Goślina when he visited me during the election campaign. Our society has lost a valuable man who still had a lot to offer. His killer was also an acquaintance of mine. He was also an intelligent young man, with prospects, who I would never suspect would pick up a gun and pull the trigger,” Grzebyta said.

The death of the artists also shocked the community around the Heroes Orchestra band, with which the gunman would cooperate. “A big heart from the Heroes community, a wonderful man, artist, passionate person, organizer of our concert in Łódź.” Read here: They riddled with 8 bullets a man threatened in a pamphlet: he had been in prison

The murdered man was reported to have been an activist, as well as a candidate in the 2014 election for the municipal council of Łódź, Poland. The man also worked for the Łódź Philharmonic Listening Service Center and ran a Facebook blog about politics, history and economics.
