Description submitted by the project team. The JR Residencia project, located in a condominium in Bragança Paulista (SP), was born from the desire of a family to enjoy their weekends surrounded by nature, in front of a serene and spacious landscape, outside the bustling city of São Paulo. Therefore, the design of the residence fulfilled the commitment to create a welcoming environment that would allow a direct relationship with nature and new sensitive and affective experiences for the family.

Located at the highest level of the land, with a unique view of the horizon, the house is developed on an extensive plateau. The volumes are sometimes in balance, landing and extending over the terrain, sometimes with openings to frame the landscape, giving the residence a feeling of infinity and at the same time of unity and warmth.

Based on the original topography, a sinuous ramp allows access to the main volume of the residence and draws the front elevation along with the landscaping, providing privacy and at the same time visibility by gradually revealing the social area of the house.

Starting from the premise of integration between the natural and the built, the main objective in the development of the social part of the JR Residence was to open the entire common area, dissolving the limits between the interior and the exterior. Gourmet dining room, pool and rooms lead to the most privileged view of the landscape.

The common space is configured as a central patio, connecting the service block, on the one hand, with the intimate area on the other, reinforcing permeability and the relationship with the outside. The separation of the volumes serves as support for the metal roof that rests lightly on the volumes, to allow natural light to penetrate all the central spaces.

Inside, white panels allow the separation and integration of environments such as the kitchen and home with the main living room. The light and neutral tones of the furniture that dialogue with the panels transmit lightness to the interior of the residence, allowing the nature of the environment to be revealed with more intensity.

On the outside, the volumes have elongated pediments covered with concrete slats, reinforcing the horizontality of the project and the relationship with the exterior. In addition, the metal panels allow the movement of the bedroom façade, the passage of light and ventilation to the intimate area, allowing a relationship of privacy to the family, as well as connection with the social area and landscape.

In addition, the house has an exclusive games area located on the lower floor, with a skate park and game tables. The use of concrete in these spaces, especially in the skate park, dialogues harmoniously with the other materials of the project. Other spaces for relaxation, such as a music room on the ground floor, sauna, changing rooms and a beach tennis court, make up the JR Residence and contribute to the family’s desire to build a house for weekends in connection with the nature.
