They will present a book that pays tribute to citizens of a town in Corrientes

The teacher, journalist and writer, Roberto Frette, will present on May 7 his book “Sanroqueños” citizens who leave their mark on the history of the town. Starting at 5 p.m. at the International Book Fair in Buenos Aires.

It will be at the stand of the Corrientes Culture Institute, within the traditional fair.

San Roque is one of the oldest departments in the province, since its founding on October 11, 1773 by Juan García de Cossio and Antonio de la Trinidad Martínez de Ibarra, so last year, the community celebrated 250 years from that date.

In tribute to some outstanding figures from all areas of San Roque activity, Roberto interviewed these citizens and their families, to pay tribute to them through this book that will be presented at this year’s edition of the International Book Fair.

“The inspiration to prepare the book came from the intention of demonstrating that there are still examples to take into account, despite contemporary thinking that indicates the opposite and the desire for the lives of these San Roqueños to remain over time,” highlights the writer.

A total of 35 interviews make up the work that represents a small seed for the memory of the town in this year of celebration of the 250 years.
