Closer: Fiat already announces on its website the imminent arrival of the Fastback

TIt burned much more than necessary but now it is closer and already confirmed for our country: Fiat is already promoting the arrival of the Fastback to Argentina, both on its social networks and on its official website, where it even has a special section where those interested can register and receive more information about the product and its launch.

Although the brand has not yet announced the exact date of its presentation, it is expected to be in the coming weeks or at the beginning of June. This is the SUV Coupé that was presented in Brazil in 2022 and that almost arrived in our country a few months later. However, obstacles to imports and the limited space available at that time ended up delaying the company’s plans.

Developed on the MLA modular platform – the same as the Pulse -, it has structural improvements and more technology to allow the incorporation of driving assistance. Aesthetically, the Fastback shares the front sector with the Pulse Abarth, replicating its LED headlights, the grille format – with a different framework, in glossy black – and the bumper, to which it adds the fog lights located at the bottom, almost hidden. Without a doubt, the most innovative thing is its silhouette, with very marked strokes and lines that enhance its stance, the rear finish resembles that of the prototype, although we also notice an undeniable air of the BMW X6, which started this trend among SUVs.

fiat fastbackInside, the dashboard is based on the Pulse, to which it adds some details to give it an air of greater refinement. The design is practically identical to the B-SUV: air vents, instruments, steering wheel, multimedia system and climate control controls. The differences begin to appear at the bottom of the center console, which adds the buttons for the electric parking brake, the Auto Hold function and the on/off Stop&Start function.

Mechanically, two alternatives are offered powered by the new Firefly 1.0 and 1.3 turbo engines. In Brazil, the range is made up of two equipment levels –Audace and Impetus-, plus the special launch series called Limited Edition by Abarth (already sold out). The entry and intermediate variants are equipped with the T200 engine (1.0 turbo) with 125/130 HP (gasoline/ethanol) and 200 Nm of torque, associated with the CVT automatic transmission with 7 simulated gears and the top of the range uses the T270. (1.3 turbo) with 180/185 HP (gasoline/ethanol), associated in this case with the automatic transmission with 6-speed torque converter. All have front-wheel drive.

The Abarth version was recently incorporated in the neighboring country, with the same aesthetic and mechanical modifications of the Pulse Abarth, including the Firefly 1.3 turbo gasoline engine with 180 HP and 270 Nm of torque, coupled to the 6-speed automatic transmission.

At the moment, the chosen configuration or the range of versions that will be available in Argentina have not been revealed.
