TikTok Shop would be about to arrive in Spain

Although these are turbulent times for TikTok, since a more than possible closure looms over it both in the United States, a country in which its president approved a bill that forces ByteDance to sell its app to an American company within a maximum period of 9 monthsas in Europe, the most used social network in the world continues launching new services and expanding existing ones in more regions of the world.

Thus, after launching, a month ago, TikTok Notes, its own alternative to Instagram in Australia and Canada, now the social network for short videos is finalizing the details to the arrival of TikTok Shop, its own online store, to Spain.

The landing of TikTok Shop in Spain is imminent

A recent report published by The Information means that TikTok Shop, the e-commerce of the popular social network, will arrive this summer in 13 other regions of the world, among which are four European countries: Spain, France, Germany and Italy and Mexico.

In fact, several sources familiar with this issue have confirmed to the South China Morning Post that the social network has already begun inviting different sellers to test a beta version of TikTok Shop in these new markets before the official launch.

This is not the first time that TikTok has tried to launch its online store in Spain, France, Germany and Italy, since ByteDance had planned to do so in 2022, but after verifying that operations in the United Kingdom failed to meet expectations decided to withdraw and postpone the arrival of its e-commerce to more regions of Europe.

TikTok Shop is currently available on United States, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand and it doesn’t stop growing, since, By the end of 2023, it had more than 15 million sellers worldwide.
