The Suzuki Vitara renews its aesthetics and incorporates new next-generation connectivity technologies and more ADAS

Thus, the Suzuki Vitara presents a new front design, characterized by clean lines and refined details that accentuate its personality. The new full LED headlights, bumper and grille, finished in black, give it a more modern and distinctive image. At the rear, the new roof spoiler grows and extends towards the C-pillar, giving the rear more volume.

In the chromatic offer of ten shades, five of them two-tone, there are two new features: the elegant two-tone decoration that combines Pearl Sphere Blue with the Black Metallic roof, and the monochrome Titan Gray Metallic paint.

The range of versions of the new model is based on two mechanics: Mild Hybrid (available from the beginning of marketing) and Strong Hybrid (which will arrive later), 4×2 and 4×4 AllGrip traction, and finish levels S1, S2 and S3. The starting price of the Suzuki Vitara is 24,500 euros* in the 6MT 1.4 Mild Hybrid S1 version.

More technology and connectivity

The Suzuki Vitara incorporates a new infotainment system with more advanced functions and a new larger high-definition screen (9 inches), which offers quick and precise response. This system integrates navigation, voice recognition, rear view camera and wireless connectivity through Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

Another great advance in connectivity for the Suzuki Vitara is Suzuki Connect, the mobile application that allows drivers to interact with their car from their smartphone, with a wide range of practical connected services.

Suzuki Connect offers very practical functionalities remotely, such as knowing if the car has been left with the lights on or unlocked, and locking it from your mobile phone. You can also check the fuel level, average consumption and remaining range. Another very useful feature is the locator, which shows where the car is parked and allows you to share its location with other people. The Suzuki application notifies the driver, through an alert on the mobile phone, if the car has been started or the alarm has been activated. And it also allows us to establish a delimited area so that the “geofencing” system can notify us if the car has left it, detecting possible thefts.

Other features of Suzuki Connect are the driving history, which collects relevant information from the last 18 months, and notifications that warn of the next service. Additionally, when any indicator lights up, the system sends a notification indicating the cause and the recommended actions; and through the application you can request roadside assistance, call the dealer and share the diagnosis with the service center, to provide faster and more effective assistance.

Advanced security

The Suzuki Vitara is equipped as standard with the most advanced ADAS systems. The second generation DSBS II (Dual Sensor Brake Support) system includes Predictive Brake Control with pedestrian, bicycle and motorcycle detection; in addition to Lane Change Warning, Anti-Fatigue Alert, High Beam Assist, Lane Change Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Monitoring System and Intelligent Cruise Control. It also comes standard with Adaptive Speed Control, alcohol interlock pre-installation, Emergency Braking Light Warning, Hill Hold Control and Hill Descent Control (4×4 versions). The S2 and S3 finishes add Blind Spot Detection and Rear Traffic Alert to this safety feature.

Other notable elements of the standard equipment in all versions are the keyless start button, automatic climate control, full LED headlights, rain sensor, automatic lights, alloy wheels with 215/55R17 tires and silver roof rails.

Practical and efficient hybrid mechanics

The Suzuki Vitara maintains its two hybrid mechanics with the ECO label, the solution that offers a better compromise between sustainability and satisfaction of the real needs of users. Both align with Suzuki’s philosophy of developing efficient, simple, light, reliable and accessible propulsion systems for all audiences.

The Mild Hybrid versions feature an efficient mild hybrid system that not only reduces fuel consumption by 15% to 20%, but also increases driving pleasure with energetic throttle response. The SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) system integrates a 48V ISG (Integrated Starter Generator) generator that consists of an electric motor function, and a lithium ion battery. The system supports the efficient 95 kW (129 HP) 1.4 Boosterjet combustion engine and provides an extra power of 10 kW.

The Strong Hybrid variants combine the efficient 75 kW (102 HP) 1.5-liter Dualjet gasoline engine with a 25 kW electric motor. The drive system is completed with an MGU (Motor Generator Unit) and the Power Back system (140V lithium-ion battery and inverter). Thanks to this, this model can reduce its consumption and emissions, and circulate in 100% electric mode for short journeys.
