Large supermarket chains have huge catalogs that are often expanded in order to attract more and more customers. It is the case of supermarkets like Mercadonawhere the frozen food, prepared dishes, snacks or fresh food sections are full of products that become viral and customers are passionate.

The product rotation policy of supermarkets like Mercadona means that new items constantly arrive at the Valencian chain’s stores. However, this also means that, at the same time, many other products disappear from your shelves for leave room for news. When this happens, it is common for customers to go online to ask about those products that were common in their shopping cart and that now seem to have disappeared.

In recent weeks, the chain has confirmed the disappearance of four of your usual articles, products that can no longer be purchased in their establishments. Among them, some sauces, prepared kitchen products or items from their dairy selection.

In recent days, Mercadona has removed the chicken and vegetable fajita kita tray that included, in addition to these fresh ingredients, a bag with spicy spices designed to prepare a complete dish in just a few minutes.

The company has taken this measure as part of its usual quality control protocol, although it has not specified the exact reasons behind this decision. “We are sorry to inform you that we no longer have it in our assortment. Instead, “We can offer you the frozen fajita filling.”they say from the supermarket’s official account.

Another of Mercadona’s star products are its prepared dishes, ready to heat and eat. However, some of the options in its assortment have been withdrawn in recent weeks. An example of this is the Vichyssoisea leek cream suitable for one person, ready to consume and that only had to be heated in the microwave.

“Is Hacendado’s vichyssoise puree no longer for sale? I have been to two Mercadona and there were none, you are making my week miserable, claimed one of the clients of the Valencian supermarket through a tweet. The response from the official Mercadona account confirmed that this cream is no longer available in its assortment. “As an alternative we can offer you artichoke cream”they responded from the Twitter account.

In addition to products from its white label Hacendado, Mercadona has decided to remove products from other well-known top brands from its shelves. This has been the case with one of the cheeses that could be found in their refrigerators, Bergader brand Petit Blu cheese. This is a German company that has years of experience in the production of this type of product, in this case a cheese made with pasteurized cow’s milk from the Bavarian Alpswhich makes the cheese have an unmistakable flavor, with a soft and creamy texture similar to Camembert.

“We are sorry to inform you that we no longer have “Petit Blue” cheese available in our stores. However, we note your interest in it,” the supermarket chain writes on its social networks, responding to its customers’ questions about the whereabouts of this cheese.

Likewise, Mercadona has decided to remove cheddar sauce from its shelves, as reported by the supermarket chain through its official Twitter account. Especially for burger lovers, this sauce was one of the best new additions to the supermarket chain, a cheddar cheese sauce whose flavor is very reminiscent of the legendary sauce that Burger King accompanies its burgers.

Now, the Valencian company has responded to various complaints through networks, confirming that the product, which will enter its shelves at the end of 2023, is no longer available. “Hello Mercadona. Where’s the Cheddar cheese sauce?” asked a user through her ‘X’ profile (formerly Twitter). When faced with the question, the supermarket chain has responded. “We are sorry to tell you that it is no longer available. We pass a note of your interest in it to those responsible so that they take it into account,” they have published from the Mercadona ‘X’ account.
