The images shared by the lion firm from 2008 are teasers, so they do not reveal too many details. However, it is known that it will be identical to the renewal of the second generation of the model marketed in Europe, although, possibly, with other engines and differences in equipment.
In this sense, it is expected to take the 1.0 turbo with 120 HP and 200 Nm associated with the CVT automatic transmission with seven simulated gears that already equips the Fiat Pulse and Strada and that will soon be incorporated into the 208.
Some Brazilian media that follow the automotive sector closely also spoke of the possibility that, in its top-of-the-range version, the 2008 will incorporate the engine Firefly 1.3 turbo with 175 HP of power (the same one that comes with the Fiat Fastback), although nothing is officially confirmed.
In the segment of compact SUVsthe new Peugeot 2008 will compete in the segment of the Chevrolet Tracker, Citroën C4 Cactus, Honda HR-V, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster and Volkswagen T-Cross, among others.
