Metallic Carbidesa leading company in the industrial and medicinal gases sector in Spain that is part of the group Air Products, was present at the VIII edition of the Velèctric fair, held last May in the Tarragona town of Reus. One of the novelties of this event, which revolves around hybrid and electric vehicles, was the hydrogen fuel cell generator that the company H2Biotech (a company belonging to Arcamo Group) installed at the fair and which allowed the possibilities of hydrogen technologies in different areas.
Sustainable energy solutions
Carburos Metálicos was in charge of supply the hydrogen that this new generating setor used to provide electricity to the fair without generating polluting or acoustic emissions, something that differentiates it from traditional systems that use an internal combustion engine. This particular equipment, with a nominal power of 3kW and equipped with booster batteries with which it can deliver up to 5kW, was able to cover all the required electricity demand, which, on average, was 800W.
It was the first time that this generator, supplied by the H2Biotech company, a specialist in sustainable energy solutions, consulting, design and maintenance of hydrogen facilities, was used at a public event. The company took advantage of its presence in Velectric to offer various demonstrations about its operation and possibilities of use.
“The collaboration with H2Biotech has allowed Carburos Metálicos to show the versatility of hydrogen within the framework of the energy transition due to its multiple industrial and mobility applications. Electricity generators equipped with hydrogen fuel cells are one more of these applications that, in this case, allow electricity to be generated where it is necessary in a sustainable and silent way, both in events of all kinds and in emergency situations, construction sites. , remote areas, etc.”, he highlighted Miquel Lope, General Director of Metallic Carbides.
