The investigation into the death of Matthew Perry being carried out by the Los Angeles Police Department, the US Postal Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration is close to finishing. The investigations will now focus on determining who and how Perry got the substances which led to his death. And among the names allegedly related to the case, that of actress Brooke Mueller, Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife.
Mueller, like Perry, has dealt for many years with substance abuse problems and it would have been in rehab when she met Chandler’s actor in Friends. And as reported by InTouch Weekly, the police have questioned her several times about the interpreter’s death, which has led her to hire a lawyer.
Furthermore, the rehabilitation center where he currently resides has been searched under a court order, with authorities confiscating a phone and a laptop. According to a source close to the investigation, yes, Mueller has been very collaborativealthough not too many details about the situation have been made public.
The entire police action is framed within an investigation that concerns “several people” who apparently supplied ketamine and possibly “other drugs” to Perry in the days before his death, as People reports. No names are mentioned about who could face chargesso it is unknown if Mueller could be one of them.
According to an anonymous source, Perry allegedly received drugs by mail sent by people you contacted through the internet. The actor died on October 28, 2023 accidentally drowned in his jacuzzi after suffering the “acute effects of ketamine.” Perry was in a treatment with said substancebut the amount found in his body far exceeded the thresholds prescribed by doctors who took care of their conditions.
Furthermore, the autopsy report noted that a Coronary artery disease and the effects of buprenorphinea medication used to treat opioid use disorder, also contributed to his death. For now, the investigation remains open.
