A patient threatens and insults an emergency doctor at the Almogía health center

A doctor from the emergency service at the Almogía health center has allegedly received threats and insults from a patient, according to the Andalusian Medical Union (SMA).

When the professional refused, the woman allegedly began to shout insults and threaten her and even said that she was “going to punch her doctor.” She also uttered disqualifications against other colleagues at the health center.

The doctor notified the coordinating center, whose manager encouraged her to report the events and Civil Guard agents appeared at the scene, who controlled the situation until the patient left the center.

The professional, who was not feeling well emotionally after the verbal attack, continued to carry out her work during working hours and has filed a complaint, as reported by the Malaga Medical Union (SMM), which once again demands that the Department of Health “that “Take a serious attitude towards this scourge.” In support of the attacked doctor, members of the Union have gathered at the doors of the Puerto de la Torre health center.

With this new case, so far this year there have been a total of 11 attacks on doctors in the province of Malaga.
