“This case is solved, sIt is revenge for a physical injury that, in turn, caused mental discomfort”. With this phrase, John Ferney Cano González, the man who killed the urologist Juan Guillermo Aristizábal Vásquez and then ended his life, closed the 362-page text in which he tells his life story, his frustration with a medical procedure performed by the doctor and his repeated desires to violently end the life of this specialist.
The “Memoirs of a Sensitive Crazy Man” is a text written on a computer that Cano González, 34, wrote for several years, in which He began by telling his life experiences, which took place between Itagüí and Urabá Antioquia, and in which he spoke, openly, about the problems of domestic violence that he experienced during his adolescence, and the conflicts that he experienced both in his educational and social environment. He was the youngest of seven siblings from a lower-middle class family in the Propiedades del Sur neighborhood of Itagüí.
But the writing It begins with a kind of “poster” for urologistswhere he uses photos, names and exposes the medical record of the urologists who reviewed him, before and after the doctor Aristizábal Vásquez performed a circumcision on October 21, 2021, a date that Cano González marked on his calendar as the “ beginning of his tragedy.”
“Everyone, without exception!, They are not for the work, but rather for the money. I did not take that detail into account and now I pay the consequences,” he says on one of the pages, after attaching the “poster” of the doctors, classifying them as good, regular and bad. There was a special section for the doctor who ended up finalizing it on the morning of April 18 in office 908 of the Medellín Clinic building.

As the pages progressed, he said that throughout his life he dedicated himself to working, with a couple of attempts at a professional career that did not end. In the last 150 pages he began to attach medical histories, formulas and even details of each of the problems which led him, initially, to consult a urologist who retired in 2020 and whose medical process was taken over by Dr. Aristizábal.
“By August 2020, I would meet who I consider my biggest enemy, an infamous person whom I bitterly regret having known, a guy who would bring misfortune to my life and named Juan Guillermo Aristizábal Vásquez. How could I have fallen into his disgusting clutches? You fucking son of a bitch. Liar and traitor. How could I have trusted such garbage? ”He says on page 204 of this writing.
He assured that the consultations with Aristizábal were paid for privately, to avoid the delays of the EPS, Therefore, he paid 200,000 pesos for the initial review. He also tells details of the anomaly he was experiencing and that the doctor indicated that it was necessary to perform a circumcision to solve it. He even described this procedure as “mutilation.”
In the midst of his investigations, he gives context of how circumcision procedures are done, and tries to argue that the work carried out by the urologist who operated on him would not be necessary for the problem for which he consulted, a situation that he supported with the concepts provided by the doctors, of all kinds, that he consulted to try to find a solution to his problem.

In one of the fragments he was giving clues to what finally happened. “That infamous person has run into the wrong person, he hates him like he has never hated anyone. It’s an indescribable feeling, Just thinking about that scum, I imagine in my mind striking him down repeatedly. with a gun until all his disgusting organs are pierced, especially his putrid heart.”
But in addition to showing his emotions against the murdered doctor, he also made reference to some lawyers who he claimed had scammed him in its purpose to seek some compensation from the legal side, after the inconveniences generated by the procedure carried out by Aristizábal.
The last chapter of this writing, dated February 29, leaves a letter to one of his brothers, in which he assured that “I have meditated on this decision for quite some time, and I have come to the conclusion that I need to do this to feel good about myself.”, while asking his brother not to report the situation to any authority.
“You have the right to remain silent, and I ask you to keep it for me. Try to seal my coffin, so that others stop insinuating things that are not. I wouldn’t want to be exhibitedand also not to put up the typical signs with my name, avoid all that, I ask you please,” he expressed in what would be his last wish, which materialized 48 days later.
