The famous New Zealand singer Lorde seems to be preparing his fourth studio album. This new work is expected to be a continuation of his album Solar Power released in 2021.
The 27-year-old artist recently shared on her Instagram account instagram a cryptic publication that has left his followers intrigued. In the message published on June 4, he included a series of images and an enigmatic legend full of symbols and letters.
“Use existing tools whenever possible. If the tools do not exist, you are spiritually obligated to create them”, read the brief description.
This post was accompanied by seemingly random emojis such as the copyright symbol, numbers like 4 and 27, repeated letters L, infinity symbols, a shark, a rabbit, and an Egyptian figure. These references have raised more questions than answers among his followers, who are trying to decipher the meaning behind them.
Likewise, some photos showed Lorde dressed in black, spitting from the balcony, while in another she held a pill with the word “spit” printed.
A nightstand with books and an ashtray with gold jewelry could also be seen, as well as a snapshot of the singer in a pool.
Although no concrete information has been confirmed regarding the release of the new album, clues left by the Grammy winner in recent months suggest that a significant project is underway.
In December, Lorde She shared an image of herself listening to something with headphones on, accompanied by the caption: “listening to myself”. During a concert at the Boardmasters festival in the United Kingdom last summer, she performed two unreleased songs that fans have speculated could be titled “Silver Moon” and “Invisible Ink”.
However, the singer warned her fans at the time that the album was not yet close, urging them to “keep the excitement on a low flame and bring it to a gentle boil” while building “resistance for this chapter.”
In September, Lorde opened his heart in an emotional letter to his fans, confessing that he was “living with a broken heart again”. The note described both emotional and physical pain, explaining:
“I’m not trying to hide from the pain, I understand now that pain is not something to hide from, that there is actually great beauty in moving with it. But sometimes I’m tired of being with myself”, he detailed.
This vulnerability and sincerity have demonstrated the deep connection that the singer maintains with her followers, who eagerly await her new music.
