After 10 years, Fall out Boy announced his return to Mexico. The rock band originally from the USA had already released clues a few days ago about a possible visit to the country, however, this June 11, they confirmed the dates of their next concerts.

will be next September 25 and 27 that the members of the so-called “Trinidad Emo” meet again with their Mexican fans. For the first date they will be presented at the Sport’s palace in the Mexico City and the second in the VFG Arena in Guadalajara. They will also have as a guest band Jimmy Eat World.

As expected, the news caused great surprise to the group’s fans, because even though they released new music in 2023, Mexico saw no hope of being added to their tours. A decade and Fall Out Boy is still valid in those generations that grew up with his music and lived to the fullest the “emo era” that marked thousands of followers.

Internet users took to social networks and expressed themselves through memes, with which they revived the nostalgia of the first albums of the group led by Pete Wentz. In the same way, they celebrated that FOB came with guests, since Jimmy Eat World is another of the references of alternative rock during the “emo” wave that emerged during the first years of the new millennium.

It should be remembered that the last time Patrick, Pete Wentz, Joe and Andrew played in Mexico was in January 2014. At that time, Fall Out Boy shared the stage with Panic At The Disco! and New Politics. The venues that received them were the Arena Monterrey and the Arena Ciudad de México.

Despite time, Fall Out Boy has consolidated its position as one of the most beloved rock bands worldwide. On March 24, 2023, they released their eighth studio album, So Much (For) Stardust, through Fueled By Ramen/Elektra/DCD2 Records. This album marked the band’s first release in over five years.

In April 2024 he concluded his massive tour of the United States, So Much For (2our) Dust with full houses.

Tickets can be purchased at Citibanamex pre-sale on June 14 at 11:00 a.m. And the general sale will be on June 15 at 11:00 a.m. Both through the Ticketmaster box office. So far no information has been released about the price of the tickets.
