Gardai renew witness appeal after woman, 50s, injured in Dublin crash dies

Gardai have renewed their appeal for witnesses after a woman died following a traffic collision last week.

A female pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit by a van at the junction of Cambridge Road and Thorncastle Street in Ringsend, Dublin 4 on the morning of March 20 at 8am. The woman, 50s, was taken to St Vincent’s University Hospital where she died from her injuries on Saturday, March 23.

A garda spokesperson said: “An Garda Síochána are continuing to appeal to any witnesses of this collision to come forward. They are also appealing to anyone with video footage (including dash-cam) from the area between 7:45am and 8:15am on on 20th March 2024 to make this available to investigate Gardaí.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Donnybrook Garda Station at 01 666 9200, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.”
