The national deputy of Unión por la Patria Máximo Kirchner assured that he does not care what name the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK) has, as long as “things arrive for the people” from the government of Javier Milei. “He can name it Conan if he is happy, but let things come for the people,” he ironized.

The national legislator referred to the controversy generated by the Government when it announced that it was going to try to change the name of the cultural center, named in honor of former president Néstor Kirchner. “Someone told me more or less the idea. If they send the money to the provinces; if they send the money and food to the soup kitchens; if they stop firing those who work in the public sphere and if they make sure that no more layoffs in the private sector; that is, if you change your outlook, the truth is that for me it is an anecdote that you will change your name,” said the deputy, son of the former president.

“I’m not interested in (the name), but that they send the supplies to the hospitals, that they don’t take the medicines from the retirees. You can name it Conan if you’re happy, but that the things arrive for the people,” he said.

Máximo Kirchner considered that “there is a Government that, in truth, up to this point in some things has shown little distance between what it says and what it does. Even though I don’t share anything. If we say ‘we are going to go to war against inflation’, let’s go to a war against inflation. Verbalizing things does not mean that they will happen. This Government, with its ways, its ways, with which I do not share anything, well, it carries it forward,” he expressed, in what was interpreted as a criticism of the presidency of Alberto Fernández.

For the UxP deputy, “society shows a certain expectation up to this point” in the Milei government, although he said that “the displeasure is growing just the same, but it’s been 100 days.” “Many times there is that feeling like in soccer, that you can hit a strike before 10 minutes and they don’t kick you out,” he compared.
