Legislator Leandro García expressed his concern about the situation in the health system of the province of Río Negro and expressed his solidarity with the National State workers fired in this downsizing project carried out by President Milei.

In this framework, he urged the provincial executive to express the forceful rejection of the adjustment policies and cuts in rights of the national government. These layoffs not only generate more families without income, but also fewer rights for the people of Rio Negro who manage rights and benefits every day in the offices that are being emptied.

In terms of health, he stated that “we make ourselves available, to contribute from our relative truth ideas and proposals to find channels of dialogue between the different parties” and added “we know that due to the cuts that President Javier Milei makes to the provinces, Río Negro’s finances are very compromised. “That is why we consider it important to discuss and think among all sectors how we get out of this situation, for us it is like more and better public investment.”

He also expressed “we believe that we must advance a comprehensive health plan, with a central role for the state, as proposed in the project presented by Senator Martín Doñate. We must focus on the defense and strengthening of Public Hospitals, build an intelligent and efficient State that articulates with the private sector in specific areas, and that does so in a transparent manner, with permanent audits.

“Today the urgency is to guarantee access to supplies, equipment, training, infrastructure, and reach an agreement with the workers.”

Finally, the legislator expressed his solidarity with the workers dismissed from national organizations. «It is not possible for a state to function and meet the needs and rights of the people of Rio Negro if it is empty.

“The problem is not public employees, the crisis that Río Negro is going through is a product of the unnecessary adjustment policies carried out by President Milei’s government.”

It is strange to hear that legislators of the pro-liberty movement show solidarity with health workers, while they are emptying national organizations and leaving hundreds of people from Rio Negro without work.
