Camagüey, March 29.- The XVIII edition of the Trackean2 Rap Festival, organized by the Hermanos Saíz Association branch in Camagüey, was inaugurated with a vibrant agenda that promises to enrich the scene of that musical genre.

This event, which will run until March 30, is not only a meeting point for young growers, but also a space for reflection and debate about rap culture on the island.

With the participation of artists from various provinces, including Santiago de Cuba, Holguín, Ciego de Ávila, Cienfuegos and Havana, it stands out for its inclusivity and its effort to challenge social stigmas, especially with the notable increase in female rappers.

Main activities, such as the Freestyle competition and workshops for freestyler battle organizers, led by figures like Carly White, are just a sample of the dynamism and creativity that characterizes Trackean2.

This year, the theoretical segment is consolidated as a testimony of artistic and conceptual maturity, reflecting a thematic evolution that underlines the relevance of rap as a cultural expression.

Despite perceptions that it may be a less known or preferred genre, Lecner Zúñiga Pinto, founder of the contest, assures that its popularity in the country has grown exponentially, driven by virtual platforms and the growing interest of new generations.

Trackean2 is thus positioned as a national and competitive proposal that, beyond promoting the urban genre, celebrates the creative diversity and passion of emerging artists, consolidating its place as one of the most important events in Cuba.
