He World Match Racing Tour 2024 this year will have the presence of a Spanish team. It is the call Cigarran Sailing Teamcreated by Jose Cigarran and that with a Galician crew he will compete in the world match racing circuit.
The team is formed by Oscar Comesaña, Manuel Martínez, Cesar López Estévez, Jorge and José Cigarrán.
José Cigarrán expressed his ambition to establish continuity in the project and thanked patrons and collaborators for their support. The team aims to consolidate itself in match racing and enter the world ranking, in addition to make this discipline known in Spainwhich was very well received in our country at the end of the 90s.
The Cigarran Sailing Team appeared at the Xunta of Galicia as a benchmark in national sailing, ready to face the best match racing teams.
The godmother of the team is Tamara Echegoyen, Gold medal in London 2012 in match racingwho sent a message of encouragement to the team, highlighting the sacrifice and discipline of the team.
