More than 100 trees of species such as caracolí, campano, oak and guácimo, among others, were planted.

The Magdalena Regional Autonomous Corporation (Corpamag) and the Municipal Agricultural Technical Assistance Units (Umata) of Tenerife, Magdalena, carried out a tree planting day at the facilities of the Simón Bolívar and María Auxiliadora Educational Institutions, located in the capital of the municipality, with the participation of primary and high school students from both schools.

During this activity, the boys and girls learned the importance of contributing to the preservationon the environment, through the protection and planting of native trees in the region. The seedlings, of the caracolí, campano, oak and guácimo species, come from Bioclimatic Nurseries, which have all the necessary plant material to continue contributing to the environmental recovery of the territory.

“In the municipality of Tenerife, more than 100 trees were planted and this week we will continue with these days in the municipality of Plato with the planting of 650, in order to extend it to the entire department of Magdalena. The idea is to generate processes of ecological restoration and environmental awareness so that communities take ownership of their environments and become green spaces with more trees for Magdalena,” explained María Victoria Corzo, official of the Subdirectorate of Environmental Management of the corporation.
