The parish church of Saint Joseph (Amadeo Vives, 31), from Las Matas, is hosting the liturgical events scheduled in honor of the owner of the temple and patron of the town on the occasion of his liturgical festival.

Organized in collaboration with the Brotherhood of San José Obrero Las Matashave started with a triduumwhich has been developing with the following schedule: on Sunday the 28th, at the 12:30 a.m. Mass, and on April 29 and 30, at the 7:00 p.m..

And they will conclude this Wednesday, May 1. At 12:30 p.m. there will be a Mass solemn ceremony presided over by Monsignor Juan Antonio Martínez Camino, SJ, auxiliary bishop of Madrid, in which the parish priest, Francisco Tomás, and the parochial vicar, and priests from the area will concelebrate. At the end of the celebration, the image of the saint will be carried in a carriage, to tour in procession different streets of the municipality. The festive day will conclude with an aperitif offered by the Brotherhood, which will also be responsible for the chocolate and children’s games that will take place on Saturday, May 4, in the morning, on the sports court of the 1º de Mayo park, adjacent to the parish.
