In his campaign speech at San Luis Potosihe Presidential candidate of Citizen movementJorge Álvarez Maynez, criticized the amount of propaganda of the Green Environmental Party of Mexico (PVEM) that can be seen while touring the city. She recalled an anecdote where her 5-year-old son asked him, “Hey, dad, if the Green Party is green, why does it pollute so much?”
“It makes me very sad to be walking the streets of San Luis Potosicoming from the airport to the university we were at, then to the beautiful center of San Luis Potosiand see the city full of advertising, that we have a city full of electoral garbage,” declared the candidate.
He pointed out the deficiencies that exist in San Luis Potosisuch as the lack of water in the neighborhoods, modern and efficient public transportation, better sidewalks and maintenance of parks and public spaces.
Álvarez Maynez also assured that he is currently positioned above the candidate of the “Fuerza y Corazón por México” coalition, Xóchitl Gálvez Ruiz, alleging that they are buying surveys and advertising to create another perception.
Furthermore, he boasted of being the only candidate who has not offended or made derogatory comments to his opponents, unlike the presidential candidates who have constantly attacked each other in presidential debates.
The rally held in the Plaza de Aranzazú was received by a large number of Emecista militants and sympathizers, highlighting the presence of girls, boys and adolescents. He was accompanied by Potosí candidates such as the Senate candidate, Josefina Salazar Báez and Arturo Carral, and the candidate for the municipal presidency of the capital, Sebastián Pérez.
Also attending were candidates such as Marvely Costanzo, Mauricio Ramírez Konishi, Daniel Rivera and the state leader of Citizen movementMarco Gama Basarte.
