It has always been said that parks are places of leisure and recreation for communities, especially for children and those who go out to play sports. This does not seem to fit in the Bastidas neighborhood, in the east of Santa Marta, where the lack of sense of belonging and citizen awareness has the place turned into filth and mired in bad odors, a situation that is rejected by its inhabitants who demand to the district administration and the Atesa Company to take the pertinent corrective measures and contribute so that this space is used free of contamination. Some residents of the surrounding area assure that, in this problem, there is the responsibility of some merchants who, without considering the consequences, accumulate the waste from their businesses in the park whether or not the day the collection car passes by.

They say that some have already had their attention, but that ‘it goes in one ear and out the other’. How good it would be to denounce with your own name the merchants who pollute the environment so that they learn that the parks are respected! Photo Ly Erick Amasyfuen Pinche
