will be able to manufacture and market in Cuba

The Official Gazette of the Cuban government gave the green light this week so that the Japanese brand Mitsubishi could manufacture and market its products in Cuba in various sectors. For years the company had been tempted on the island, but they had not just given it the go-ahead.

For example, in 2020, it was learned that the director of that office, Yamasaki Junichiro, had met with the Cuban ambassador in Japan in search of expanding agreements, but four years later he received the green light, according to the Gazette.

According to this information, with the registration of the Mitsubishi office in the National Registry of Representations
Foreign Trade, attached to the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, the Japanese entity can now carry out various functions on the island.

“The business line of the representative office of the Japanese company MITSUBISHI CORPORATION in Cuba, since its registration, is the manufacturing and marketing of finished products for different sectors of the industry and the economy, including food, beverages, raw materials various equipment, equipment, accessories, parts and various pieces; as well as carrying out intermediation activities in export and import activities,” it reads.
