The podcast “The two rescues of Felipe Gallo” tells the story of one of the Rosario heroes of the cruiser General Belgrano, sunk on May 2, 1982 by an English submarine in the war for the Malvinas Islands.
The veteran Fernando Vitale participated in the rescue of the survivors of the Belgrano, among them the electrician corporal Felipe Gallo, who later died from his injuries. And, 40 years later, Vitale, together with the Rosario Ex-Combatants Center and the Gallo family, began a process to carry out an official recognition of Felipe in the El Salvador cemetery, where his remains were. It was the longest funeral for one of the Malvinas fallen.
