The 37-year-old coffee picker, murdered in the rural area of Palermo, was identified as Esneider Vega Guevara. The victim who lived in the capital of Huila, apparently, was killed by the FARC dissidents. The authorities are working to clarify the motives for the crime.
The funeral services for Esneider Vega Guevara were carried out amid tears and rejection, who was murdered on May 2 in the La Lupa neighborhood of the municipality of Palermo.
Violent homicide
The crime apparently would have been perpetrated by FARC dissidents. This was stated by some people close to the man who was originally from Neiva.
According to the information provided, Esneider had gone to work as a coffee picker at the La Lindosa factory, where on the night of May 1 he was forcibly removed from the place. This was confirmed by some of those present who were amazed by the presence of a group of uniformed men, who at first thought they were from the National Army, since they were wearing camouflage and long weapons, however, they identified themselves as FARC dissidents.

“The guerrillas arrived between 11 and 12 at night and told his boss that they were taking him and that in 20 days they would return him, but lies, they tied his hands, made him walk for a while and from there “They killed him,” said one of the witnesses who withholds his identity for security reasons.
The homicide, apparently, occurred between Wednesday night and Thursday morning on a road that leads to the La Lupa village. There they left Vega Guevara abandoned, after taking his life with a firearm.
The discovery
It was around 6:20 in the morning that one of the residents noticed the unfortunate case. When he approached to try to recognize him, he detailed multiple holes caused by a firearm in his head, back and extremities. In this way he proceeded to alert the Police to carry out the survey.
It should be noted that the Police did not go to the scene of the crime, due to the complex public order situation that exists there on behalf of the Ismael Ruiz front of the Central General Staff under the command of ‘Iván Mordisco’. Thus, they had to coordinate with the Palermo Volunteer Fire Department to transport the deceased to the urban area of the municipality.
Now investigations are progressing to clarify what happened and find out the reasons that motivated it. Esneider is remembered by those close to him as a gentleman, hard-working, honest and loved citizen, being an excellent brother and son.
He was the one who looked out for his 62-year-old mother, who, due to her advanced age, can no longer work. His family now remains immersed in fear of what happened.
They ask for justice
“Let the president do something, we are very afraid, we feel very affected. May God forgive the people who took my brother’s life, we want protection, that they investigate to the last detail,” concluded his relative.
