Within the framework of the maintenance operations of the alluvial defense systems of Mendoza, the Hydraulic Department extracted 500 cubic meters of waste from the Fras collectorin the section that goes from Paso de los Andes to the beginning of Peltier Street.
The work to remove waste and unloading material will continue to the Cacique Guaymalln canal. The objective of these periodic cleanings is that the channels are clear to conduct the flows caused by possible alluviums or floods.
For these works, a CAT pneumatic excavator was used, which carries out the tasks of extracting the packaging material and loading the transport trucks. Two mini loaders are used for internal cleaning and stockpiling of material inside the collector.

For the transfer and final disposal of the material, two trucks were used, one of 14 m3 and another of 6 cubic meters. Both are loaded on the side of the collector and transferred to the landfill located in the El Borbolln district, in Las Heras.
In addition, the clearing, maintenance and cleaning tasks of the Vivero Perdriel lamination lagoon continue. Work began on April 23 and They will last two months. They will cover a length of 600 meters and the estimated extraction of 50,000 m3 of shipping material is estimated in the reservoir located in the Perdriel Nursery, where it will be reused.
The lagoon area is 1.25 ha, with an average depth of 4 meters. For cleaning, a loader, excavator, 2 dump trucks and 1 irrigation truck will be used.
