On the eve of the 2024 electoral process, the State Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection continues to work on the strategy that allows everything to be carried out in an orderly, calm and smooth manner.
For a safe 2024 election day, an open channel of communication is maintained with electoral authorities from the INE and CEEPAC to refine details along with the personal protection that continues to be provided to candidates for elected positions.
So far, the National Electoral Institute (INE) has not identified warning sources, derived from the joint effort and planning of the National Guard, the State Civil Guard, the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, the State Attorney General’s Office, the Prosecutor’s Office General of the Republic, as well as the municipal authorities. This collaborative work has significantly improved security in the electoral processes in the 3,900 polling stations in the State, guaranteeing better performance and peace of mind for citizens.
On May 8 and 9, the obtaining of electoral documentation will begin, and from May 28 it will be delivered to the poll presidents. It is expected that everything will take place in a good social climate, thus ensuring the democratic exercise and the right to vote in a safe and transparent manner.
The will and commitment with which the authorities and entities involved in the 2024 electoral process are working is reiterated without any signs of instability or other types of risks, there is permanent communication in addition to being ready and prepared to act in the event of any eventuality. .
