The Ministry of Education of the province published Decree No. 0586 on Tuesday, May 7, by which the Perfect Assistance Program was established, through which the provincial government will reward public school teachers who do not miss work. The benefit will be applicable starting April 16, the date on which the measure was announced by the Ministers of Education José Goity and the Ministers of Economy, Pablo Olivares, and a similar decree for private school teachers will soon be signed.

Perfect Assistance emerged as a provincial state savings policy. In 2023 there was 32% absenteeism in teaching in public schools in the province of Santa Fe. “That cost the Province more than 25% of the budget: $100,000 million out of $400,000 million, and this year we were projecting $ 250,000 million to pay for absenteeism,” Governor Maximiliano Pullaro anticipated when referring to this measure.

In the recitals of the decree, which bears the signature of the provincial president, it is indicated that this incentive is established to “create, promote and manage the necessary conditions so that those constitutional rights are expressly recognized for girls, boys and adolescents by Law No. 26,061 ( of Comprehensive Protection of the Rights of Girls, Boys and Adolescents).

Likewise, the document states that “the State must guarantee equal access to this quality education by promoting whatever actions are necessary to avoid situations of discrimination, marginality or any type of segregation that comes from socioeconomic, cultural, geographic or any other type of factors.” that could restrict the full exercise of the right to learn and enjoy an education.”

In detail

Perfect Attendance consists of a monthly and a quarterly incentive to reward the teacher who attends the classroom, and will imply that a teacher who is starting out and with a single position will receive $57,000 more per month, and the one with the highest position will add $114,000.

If you also have perfect attendance in the quarter, $86,000 is added to the lowest position and $172,000 to the highest positions.

That is to say: the teacher in lower positions who have perfect attendance in the quarter will have a total of approximately $257,000 as an incentive in that period, and those in higher positions will add more than $500,000.
It is worth noting that the amounts, both monthly and quarterly amounts, will be updated quarterly according to the percentage variation in the teaching salary.

During the months of January, February and March, each agent will receive an amount equivalent to the monthly average that they have received for the same concept in the months of April and December. Likewise, it is worth adding that in the month of April an amount equivalent to the average of the 3 quarterly incentives that the teacher may have received until January will be paid.

It should be noted that this decree includes public school personnel, while a file has already been generated that will include private schools. This file will generate a new decree corresponding to the benefit for that sector.
