In a meeting between Silvino Patiño, a designer textile, and Francisco Gómez, a plastic artist, the Tejidos Rebancá brand and its workshop were born.

Seven years ago, these two creators came together to explore the crafts of the highlands cundiboyacense, especially hand wool spinning and horizontal hand weaving, using natural materials such as sheep wool and silk.

Tejidos Rebancá has created an open-air workshop in which more than fifty peasant families participate.

In this workshop, clothing is produced that combines artisanal tradition with a contemporary approach.highlighting the unique characteristics of the raw material and giving an account of the actors, people and places that are behind each garment.

One of the main characteristics of the artisan workshop is its focus on comprehensive and organic sustainability.

The entire process of transforming the raw material, from design and cutting to dyeing the wool and making the garment, occurs in the workshop. In addition, they seek the exchange of knowledge with other disciplines and advocate for the rescue of rural traditions through fashion.

They have managed to export their pieces to different countries, standing out in cities like London, where their sustainable and unique fashion proposal has been very well received.
