The Government of Dominica expressed concern about the position of the White House and stressed that there is no evidence of the alleged support of the largest of the Antilles for violent acts.

According to him, it is a policy to justify the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed against the island for more than six decades.

He urged to lift all sanctions on Cuba and build normal relations between the two countries to guarantee peace, stability and growth of the island.

He highlighted Cuban cooperation in the Caribbean, in areas such as health, education and agriculture, after expressing solidarity with the Havana movement to condemn terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

In this regard, the Cuban ambassador here, Miguel Fraga, expressed to Prensa Latina his deep gratitude for the brave and fair position adopted by the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

«It is time for the United States government to reverse this cruel, unfounded and unjust decision that seeks to justify the failed policy of more than 60 years of economic sanctions imposed on Cuba by the United States of America that only causes suffering to the Cuban people. », he added.

Last week, the United States removed Cuba from the group of countries that do not fully cooperate in its fight against terrorism, but kept it on the black list of State sponsors of terrorism.
