Meanwhile, in Viedma the investigation initiated against the labor chambermaid, Gustavo Guerra Labayén, continues due to delays in the resolution of files that could also lead to a trial of those characteristics.

In reference to the Family Judge, several employees reported her between 2017 and 2021 for suffering harassment, mistreatment, stalking, and persecution on a permanent basis, which generated the intervention of the Judicial Council, the body in charge of electing judges and judicial officials and applying sanctions for filing complaints.

These complaints detailed that in the face of this extreme work situation, there were those who had to take leave, go to psychological and psychiatric care, as well as experience panic attacks.

In the first hearing yesterday the judge denied the existence of abuse or hostility, justifying her attitude in the need for a rapid judicial response in the field of Family justice.

ACCUSATION

The Attorney General of Río Negro, Jorge Crespo, promoted the case to impeachment against the Family Judge Revsin to whom he accused “disorders of conduct and poor performance of her duties.”

Among other grounds, he maintained that in her capacity as the head judge of Family Procedural Unit No. 11 (former Family Court), Revsin had reiterated acts of labor and psychological abuse towards people dependent on that body and/or the Office of Comprehensive processing of the Family jurisdiction (Otif) of Roca.

The accusation also attributed to the judge improper interference in tasks and functions that by regulation are exclusive to the Otif.

The impeachment court is made up of the President of the Superior Court of Justice and the Council of the Judiciary, Sergio Ceci; legislators Marcelo Szczygol and Juan Murillo Ongaro; legislator Marcela Gonzalez Abdala; the attorney advisors Marina Luna and Daiana Reynoso; the lawyer advisor Federico Diorio and the judge for the Labor jurisdiction Victorio Gerometta.

The judge’s defense is led by lawyer Justo Epifanio and lawyer Noelia Caparros.

Today the political trial continues in Roca in which a total of approximately 70 witnesses will be heard.
