The initiation of investigations and the prohibition of operation of two facilities in the industrial sector of La Negra in Antofagasta, reported the Seremi de Salud. Regarding the clandestine dining room – located in front of the “Plaza de Negocios” Condominium – Jessica Bravo highlighted that the inspection revealed the existence of a large area of ​​approximately 500 m2, which had improvised facilities that served around 100 people at the time of the inspection. distributed among 18 tables, with a significant line of workers on the outskirts of the place who had arrived by bus.

Structurally, the place was made up of two food trucks and a module that did not have bathrooms, sinks, with great ambient heat, dirty surfaces, salads prepared in a hot area, at room temperature, and accumulation of dirty water in plastic tanks.

Between the modules of the place, a floor was observed with an accumulation of decomposing food remains, in addition to homemade mayonnaise and exposed dressings.

Likewise, Bravo said, One of the most unusual topics was the discovery of a plastic organizing box with pebre, from which individual diners extracted the product. All this, in addition to the practice of washing dirty dishes with water in drums located in a patio with a dirt floor and the residual water being carried in buckets to a well covered with wooden planks.

Along with regretting the precarious conditions of these illegal premises and the risk they pose to the health of clients, Jessica Bravo highlighted that their owners risk sanctions that according to the Health Code could fluctuate between one tenth and one thousand UTM.
