A collegiate court made up of criminal judges Fabio Monti, Javier Allende and Marcos Nápoli today began an oral debate in the context of a case involving acts of seriously outrageous sexual abuse to the detriment of two sisters.
The person arrested and brought to trial is charged with the crime of seriously outrageous sexual abuse, in the form of a continuing crime, two acts in real competition, as the author and framed in the law on gender violence.
The accusation
When the debate began this Monday, June 3, in the hearing room of the Judicial Office, Attorney General Griselda Encina began her arguments by stating that it will be proven throughout the process and through the evidence that will be presented that the events began to occur when One of the victims was five years old, in 2002. At that time, the accused began to sexually abuse the little girl and this happened on Sundays, at the home of the girl’s grandparents, since those days the family was away. met normally. The accused carried out the same behavior at the home where he lived with the girl’s aunt. In addition to Sundays, for each birthday of a family member when the family group met, the accused repeated his extremely violent and lascivious behavior against his sexual integrity. The events described continued and were repeated approximately until 2008, when the victim was eleven years old.

Similar circumstances were experienced by the other victim, sister of the girl mentioned above, whom the accused also began to sexually abuse when she was five years old, in 2005. These events occurred in the family home of the girl’s grandparents. Between the victim’s ten or eleven years, the accused, meeting family members at his home, also sexually abused the minor. The events described were maintained and repeated from 2005 to 2016.

Defense words
The defense of the accused, carried out by public defender Carlos Flores Pericich, maintained the state of innocence of his client, adding that he is neither the author nor a participant in the events described by the prosecution. He criticized the principle of objectivity that the prosecutor’s office must have and that in his opinion it was not met. He asked the court to acquit his client for not having taken part in the events.
After listening to the prosecution and the defense, after the initial presentations, the court ordered the opening of the evidentiary stage of the oral debate, estimating that it will take at least three days.
