The decision was confirmed by the mayor of the commune, Javier Muñoz Riquelme, after an internal work meeting between the different municipal teams that make up the Communal Emergency Committee. In this instance, it was decided to postpone the gastronomic activity at least until the second week of July, thinking about the well-being of the exhibitors and the community in general, given the announced weather situation.

“We have made the decision to postpone the return of the winter vacations of educational establishments to the month of July, in order to be able to develop this activity in a good way and so that it meets the objectives it pursues, which is a family-type activity. , but where we also have the entrepreneurs who participate in it and especially the gastronomic ones who have a significant income during this winter period,” said Mayor Javier Muñoz.

Although in recent days there have been important advances through meetings and coordination to hold the contest on the scheduled date, unfortunately it has been necessary to postpone the activity. The process of officially informing all the organizations and individuals that participate each year in the Cazuelas and Caldillos Gastronomic Fair has already begun, added Mayor Muñoz.

“Official communications are already being made to each of the entrepreneurs, micro-entrepreneurs and artisans who participate in this activity, as well as to the institutions that collaborate with this important activity for the city and, in particular, for the gastronomic world,” he indicated. the communal authority.

Finally, Mayor Javier Muñoz called on all those involved in the Cazuelas and Caldillos Gastronomic Fair to understand the decision, since it is due solely to reasons of force majeure and for the good of all.
