The project included cleaning and removing debris, repair of children’s games, installation of new lights and the planting of trees and flowers, in the midst of the initiative was ‘Safe Parks’, designed to foster collaboration between the National Police and citizens.
Colonel Antonio José Londoño, commander of citizen security of the Valledupar Metropolitan Police, highlighted the importance of this type of projects: “Our goal is to improve the quality of life of the neighbors and promote an environment of peace and security. The recovery of the park not only beautifies our neighborhood, but also offers a space for families and children can enjoy it safely.
