The DGE reported this afternoon that the face-to-face classes in the evening and night shifts in the department of Tupungato due to strong gusts of Zonda wind.

“The measure is for the evening and night shifts in the main city. In the rest of the province, the educational service is provided with complete normality,” they reported in a statement from the General Directorate of Schools.

At the same time, they highlighted that the decision is due to “weather records that confirm gusts of Zonda wind.”Following the recommendations of the Directorate of Civil Defense, the General Directorate of Schools (DGE) informs that this Wednesday, June 5, face-to-face classes will be suspended in the evening and night shifts in the main city of Tupungato,” the letter highlights.

“In the rest of the department and the entire province, the educational service is provided as normal. School activity must be carried out virtually through the Escuela Digital Mendoza educational platform,” they completed.

The National Meteorological Service had anticipated that this Wednesday the Zonda could descend to the plain after the cold front in the high mountains at the beginning of the week.
