The Province and PAE launch a training program in technical trades

It will benefit 1,500 Neuquén residents over 18 years of age. Technical training linked to the energy industry will be offered with the aim of improving employability conditions.

The provincial government and Pan American Energy (PAE) signed an agreement that will launch the “Comprehensive Plan for the Promotion and Strengthening of Technical Trades” linked to the energy industry and within the actions of the Emplea Neuquén provincial plan.

The signing of the agreement, which will be valid for two years, was signed by Governor Rolando Figueroa, Minister Lucas Castelli, and the Group CEO, Marcos Bulgheroni; and the corporate vice president of Institutional Relations, Daniel Felici, representing PAE, a company that executes programs and activities aimed at benefiting the communities of the provinces where it operates.

It will provide technical training linked to the energy industry to 1,500 unemployed Neuquéns over 18 years of age. 50 training sessions of more than 3,500 hours of technical training will be carried out through the support of the Potenciar Foundation, the National University of Comahue (UNCo) and the National Technological University (UTN) – Regional Neuquén.

Its objective is to promote job placement in the province, support and strengthen activities that contribute to sustainability and socio-labor development, as well as promote training activities within the province.

The first courses will be well production assistant, electrician assistant, drilling equipment assistant, coiled tubing operator assistant and instrumentation assistant, among others.

Through the agreement, the provincial ministry assumed the commitment to coordinate and execute the programs, monitor the students who graduated from the training, disseminate and call for the activities.

“The social role of PAE in the province is very important for us from the first moment in education, training and employment programs,” such as the Gregorio Álvarez Scholarship program, said Figueroa and added that “we want to be a single team with all the industry actors, understanding that social sustainability is the path to the development of Vaca Muerta.

“We support this program because we are convinced that training and technical training generate the opportunities that our young people need to access quality employment,” said Marcos Bulgheroni, Group CEO of PAE.

Pan American Energy, through its Pymes Program, is the first private company to join the provincial program “Emplea Neuquén”, created by the governor of the province in January of this year.
