Colón and Unión gathered more than two tons of recyclable material in the Reciclathon classic

The Municipality of Santa Fe announced the results of the first Reciclatón classic, which “confronted” Colón and Unión in an Ecocanje competition, and Tatengue emerged victorious after collecting 1,220 kg of recyclable material. For his part, the Sabalero managed to gather 880 kg – more than two tons between them – in the initiative that accompanies the commitment to a cleaner Santa Fe. Everything collected will be donated to the Dignity and Healthy Life Association for recycling.

In dialogue with Sol Playrepresentatives of the municipality explained what the Reciclatón initiative is about, which has already had other editions held in public and private places, such as the one organized in Puerto Plaza. “Within the framework of World Environment Day we decided to call on the city clubs, Colón and Unión, to join this commitment for a cleaner Santa Fe and within that framework to do this activity that we have been doing,” explained Luisina Cuelloofficial of the Secretariat of Urban Management and Environment, to this medium.

And explained: “That’s why we wanted to touch the hearts of the fans a little, so that they join the cause of ‘separated is not garbage’ and bring their recyclable waste.”

For the event, both clubs opened their doors and invited their fans to bring recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, plastics, aluminum, glass and Styrofoam. In exchange, they could take a gift (seedlings, reusable bags, among others).
