The complaints of the clients when they began to fail to comply alerted the Super that ordered the suspension for having illegally obtained more than $ 2,000 million
Complaints from Inversiones Solidarias clients to whom they sold a business that did not work out led financial superintendent Cesar Ferrari to act. He gave way to the investigation against the company whose legal representative is Ángel David Fuentes Pinto. At least 24 people, as of March 2024, had given money to Inversiones Solidarias SAS, the total amounts in the pyramid amounted to $2,991,700,000.
The company’s financial records said it all. The books found and with numbers from the year 2022 gave a liquid asset of $462,332,000, giving the idea that the obligations contracted exceeded 50% of the assets. The accounting data was not the last important detail.
The organization requested the money and in contrast the “beneficiary” received 100% of the capital in a period of six to twelve months plus a “return”, which ranged between 3% and 7% of the original amount.
Another result of the Super investigation was that the company could not demonstrate concentrated commercial activity, a strange point considering the promised profits. On the other hand, Ángel David’s former clients said that he was a “manager” and “invested in stocks, bonds, financial derivatives, among other securities on the Colombian Stock Exchange”; However, Ángel’s registration did not appear on the Stock Exchange and there were no traces of Inversiones Solidarias SAS either.
Due to not finding papers on the stock market and due to complaints, the Superfinanciera decided to impose an immediate suspension on Inversiones Solidaria for unauthorized collection of money. The sanction became final with resolution number 0905 of 2024, issued on May 3, 2024. In addition to the sanction, the entity recommended that clients be very careful with businesses that promise high returns and also look closely at all those involved. .
